That sun is not gentle. It's cooking everything underneath. You feel it in the orange, in the yellow, in the way the ground almost burns. And those trees just take it. Roots deep, trunks bent like old backs, leaves doing what they can. There's blue in the shadows that makes no sense until you look at it for ten minutes and then it's the only thing that makes sense.
